Interesting Ideas for Total Conversion Mods.

I am a huge fan of modding. I really enjoy seeing all the neat tweaks people come up with for games like Fallout, Skyrim, and Half-Life. I love total conversion mods as well. There are some that are simply amazing, like the Mechwarrior mod for Crysis and Dear Ester for the Source engine.

What ideas do my dear Escapist have in regards to Total Conversion Mods? I know one I would like to see is a Skyrim modded into a full Zelda game. There is already a mod to make you character Link, and I think it would be great to have the world of Skyrim turned into Hyrule. There of course are a ton of issues with that idea, but I'm just dreaming here.

So what are some your TCM fantasies?

Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption or a similar game converted to Halo. The gameplay/mechanics would translate well in my opinion... (I know there have been mods but they're really slow to update...)

Ummmmm, others... Skyrim into Tamriel/Nirn, for the sheer awesomeness of it. Skyrim into Middle-Earth, because again, that would be awesome.

That project is actually in the works. Originally intended for Oblivion, they are now doing it with Skyrim, although I forgot the name of the mod.

I know about it, and I've seen it somewhere, probably on Skyrim Nexus, but from what I've seen all the people on the project* seem to be "concept artists" and "plot designers", not exactly what you need if you're trying to translate the world of Middle Earth to Skyrim...

*Bear in mind that's the only one I've seen, so if you could point me to any others, that would be lovely

Thats the one I was talking about, just found it. Not sure if this is the one you mean.

No, thankfully that's not the one I mean, I think the page for the one I mean was deleted, as I can't find it. MERP looks really promising, which is good, and it seems like it'll stick to the lore of LOTR as closely as possible. Thank you very much
