Hello readers,
I like many other people on this site would like to see certain thing in video games transferred over to the "real" world. In fact many scientists share our opinion and many recenct developments, i.e. powered exoskeletons, are seeming to step out of the pages of fiction and into reality. Anyway I have had two interesting ideas that may be possible now or in the near future and I encourage any viewers to a. either critique my ideas and give me some suggestions or b. post other ideas and how they could be possible or c. do both a. and b.
Idea 1: Anyone who has ever played the Resistance games for the PS3 has probably used the Bullseye tag before. For those who have not played it the tag is a "homing" signal that allows subsequent shot to home in on the fired tag. Anyway, I was thinking that a low velocity muzzle round might be equipped with a radio receiver and the head of the bullet could be made of an shock-absorbent adhesive so that when it strikes a target the bullet would flatten out, adhere to the surface and begin transmitting. I was also thinking that this would be applicible in tow ways to combat.
1. Missles could be altered to track the signal thereby guarrenteing a hit.
2. The tag could be fitted with a transmitter that could track different vehicles back to their home base/cave/etc.
I would post idea 2 here if enough people want it but it is slightly more complicated and has to deal with chemistry/biology.
