Why do I get these uncontrable urges to dive out my window while it's closed and I live on a ground floor?

Why do they always send the poor?

OT: Why is my luck so shitty? I have literally no luck whatsoever.

Care to explain the radiation?
Well they probably ended up setting up the camp near a dump site the gov's military used for whatever. and im also guessing they were attack by a wild animal. Also, maybe for some being naked, and im not sure if this is reasonable enough but, at a certain point in hypothermia, when it gets severe, you start to feel very hot like its a weird reaction to the cold, and it can feel so hot that some people would take off there cloths to cool down even when they know they are in the cold. idk what its called, but once you get to that stage, death is almost inevitable.

Urban legends.

There will be a story in a local newspaper somewhere about, say, someone who comes home from a lenghty shopping trip, finds their dog (usually a Doberman) having trouble breathing, and takes the animal to the vet. It turns out that the dog is choking - on three human fingers! Police are notified, and after a quick search of the neighbourhood, they arrest a man with three missing fingers. Who, it turns out, has been wanted for some time, for a series of burglaries and several murders.

Someone from the newspaper is sent out to do a follow-up, but is unable to locate any of the people involved. There have been no reported burglaries in the area concerned. Nobody with three missing fingers has been arrested. No choking Doberman has been brought in to any local vet.

Some persistant research will reveal nothing - except that the same story appeared some years previously, in a local newspaper in a different part of the country. And that no follow-up was made.

In short, nothing of the sort has ever happened.

This is an urban legend. One of a great many weird, creepy or funny stories that crop up in the news every now and again, despite having been debunked repeatedly.

Where are these stories coming from? If this Doberman incident never happened (and there is no evidence that it ever did), how did it make the news in the first place? Why does it KEEP making the news?

Is someone just making them up? It's been bugging me for years!

Sure.

The radiation was bullshit. Wikipedia quotes a russian hack doing an 'ooh, isn't it mysterious piece'. The original investigation found nothing out of the ordinary, incidental contamination.
At least read some of the skeptical analysis from the wikipedia page you quoted. It's even been debunked on QI.

It's a tragic event, but not even remotely creepy.
