Interesting Portal 2 / Half Life connection (Portal 2 SPOILERS within!)

This was pointed out on another forum, but I checked it out myself.

As you know, Cave Johnson's assistant, and later the basis for GLaDOS is called Caroline. If you look up the meaning of that name here

you get the following interesting information.

...and the meaning of Caroline is "free man".

Half-Life and Portal exist in the same universe. Black Mesa and Aperture Science were competing for government funding. You know how the olden-times test chambers got gradually worse in terms of furnishing and quality of test subjects? That's because Black Mesa won.
