So this just randomly came to me today. Supposing I had two video cards in my computer, with different specs, each hooked up to a different monitor... and I have my system set up to extend the desktop across both monitors... and I fire up a game that can be run in a window... and I move the window so it's half on one monitor and half on the other...

...which card is rendering the game?

I just blew your mind right now, I can tell. I sure blew mine.

That would probably depend on how the software that you'd set up to extend the desktop across both screens worked. Though both would make most sense.

Both. Video cards outputs what they are told to do as fast as they can. Your game is handled by the CPU. Dunno if they would sync frame rates with the slowest card or not but my guess is they would.
