There are just some things that nerds seem to like enough that it warps their real world perception of them. They usually involve fighting for some reason, or something relating to violence. They also tend to be thrown into odd verses threads in forums which basically boil down to which people think is cooler. Ninjas and pirates are the obvious one but what else is discussed a little too much and with much to little reference to reality on the internet?
