Internet Days, does time move differently on the internet?

I recently moved to a new house, and it took me four days to get internet to my computer (I have more knowledge of nuclear explosives than of practical technology skills), and last night I went out drinking with a bunch of friends, and jokingly said something along the lines of this:

"I was without internet for four days - internet days are like dogs years backwards, I've missed 3 months of stuff man!"

What do you people at The Escapist think? Does time move more quickly/slowly on the internet? Or am I talking out of my excretion oriphus?

Time moves quickly for me. I can lose a whole day on the Net and think that only a few hours have passed.

Well, time on the net seems to move quickly when I've been holed up in my room playing a new game obsessively for a few days.
