I know I know, I am one of those rebels that uses Internet Explorer and not Firefox/Chrome. Though, I must say IE9, looks really nice. It takes up less of the screen and overall looks very sleek.

anyone else downloaded it - enjoyed it/didn't like it?

I have heard Doctors and Professors of computing speak about this. These guys are professionals who know their shit. Their expert opinion? Internet Explorer needs to be killed with fire.

My opinion is that Internet Explorer 9 is, in fact, an internet browser.

I understand this is a pretty controversial opinion, but I stand by it.

Takes up less of the screen? I assume that means no toolbar and whatnot, it would be good to have it like the taskbar on windows 7 where it can be set to hide when i don't want it. On the other hand i like looking at the Koenigsegg Agera now and then (my toolbar background)

It feels more like a Windows 7 version of IE. Basicaly the favorites and everything is on the same layer as the tab, url, and such. Luckily it doesn't get crowded unless you have like, 15 tabs.

I second your opinion, controversial as it may be.

It's okay, and to be honest I don't really care too much which browser I use so long as the page loads correctly.

Eh, it's IE, I use it when I have to.

I prefer Firefox, but wonder if switching to Chrome will end the obnoxious hanging I get from anything Google related.

Internet Explorer is the best Internet Browser in the world for downloading other internet browsers.

Yet it even sucks at doing that.

I hate IE with a burning passion because I love, love, love Firefox, and I get forced to use god damn IE FIVE/SIX at school.

The US military declared a few years ago that IE is nothing more than a virus, and currently, there own opinion hasen't changed. not suprised.

as far as i'm concerned, if IE exists, i'm gonna remove it completely from my machine (or in win7's case, leave it as a rended husk, damn microsft >_>) i've hated it back when i started using the internet, 14 years ago. my opinion hasen't changed :p

Same, it sucks using IE at school.

I'm not even gonna try IE9, I know Chrome will be better in the long run anyways.

Chrome or GTFO,

just kidding!

Honestly though I have found all internet explorers to be rather painful in comparison, sure I suppose theres that boon of having "work offline" to attempt avoiding megavideos shut outs, but the nicer browser is worth the hourly waits after an hour and a half of entertaining old shows that haven't found their way to better stream sites, never had an IE function nicely with 30-40 tabs open so I can rally immense information or cheat browser games for skits and giggles.

Oh and the option of right clicking Chrome on the task bar to use its ~Personal Task Manager~ to close pages that people have hilariously coated in phoney click here to close out, click here to confirm your closing out of confirming your outing closing in out up left uppercut tuna sandwich, without having to kill the entire browser.

If I wanted my computer infected with every virus and other piece of malware on the internet I'd install IE.

Otherwise, why bother?

I much prefer chrome or firefox... or opera or safari. But I guess I could try out the new IE.

I don't care if it makes me a goddamn milkshake while I browse, I'm never using another version of IE again. There's just better stuff out there now.
