I'm wondering if anyone has noticed memes or references in settings you really didn't expect to see them in movies, TV, books.

There is an episode of House M.D. involving a cat where he refers to it as Death Cat and also says to Cuddy it's a shame it isn't Lawyer Cat.

A more expected one is the series 2 DVD of the IT Crowd where the menu plays a loop of scenes done from the show in the style of Zero Wing including "bad translation". Still made me laugh when I first saw it and about the only time I have watched the whole of a menu loop.


So any out there?

Not sure if it countsbut in the recent series of the IT crowd you can clearly see a Guy Fawkes mask hanging on one of the walls. The fact theat Moss is a /b/tard made it so much better than The Big Bang Theory.
