Just 15 days ago i bought a computer, and installed a PCi card to catch wireless internet, its been working great, but right now its not catching ANY internet connections! i logged in about an hour and 15 minutes ago last, after coming back from dinner, realised that it doesnt work anymore, the PCi card seems fine, and the green light thing is glowing on it.. no possible changes could have been made. please help!!! thank you

DNS server issue, reset your modem.

Unhook it from power for 10 seconds then plug it back in, usually fixes it.

If you have a router do the same for it.

I don't know why but i get the feeling you are stealing people's internet connections. Bad boy.

If not then its probably a setting gone amiss with your router. Unplug your router anyway for 10 secs and plug it back in. If this doesnt help it is most likely a duffed card.

If not your router then your card has one tits up. Download the latest drivers, if that doesnt work then your card is apparently toast.

Huh, looks like my solution of unplugging everything and turning your computer on and off has already been suggested.

Does it ever give you the option of diagnosing the problem? Sometimes that'll actually fix it, and how are you posting here, anyway?

First, I don't know if you use the software that came with your card to connect with your router. If not, the following won't help. But if you do, this would be my advise to you:

Use the wireless zero configuration from windows and uninstall the connection software from your card (NOT the drivers, mind you!!!) To start it up, see this: http://www.inf.aber.ac.uk/advisory/faq/965/
See if you can find your router in the network options of your configuration screen.
Good luck!

One of the few things in windows that is actually better than what other pieces of software could provide for it.

*Edit: I don't think this has to do much with a true DNS problem. But to find out, you can just use the command prompt and ping, for example www.google.com (so type: ping www.google.com) and get a 'time out/host not responding' and do get a respons back on pinging to 74.125.79.99, it is a DNS problem.
