wait, "gods" of the underworld. My Greek mythology may be a little rusty but the only god associated with the underworld is Hades. And I'm pretty sure he's on Kratos's "Kill Bill" list.The_Deleted said:His brother will kill Kratos. Kratos will finally collapse after his revenge mission against Zeus. Will not be able to hurt yet another member of his family and so 'fall on his sword'.
This will end the first series of games and set up the next with Kratos' brother and his revenge against the Gods of the Underworld.
Where the, sadly, the games will start to lose any of the excitement they once had.
Actually Kratos tends to get killed in all the GoW games. Whether its Ares impaling him, Zeus running him through, or Charon chucking him in the Styx, he always ends up in the underworld somehow. It's just he tends not to let that stop him, and claws his way back out again. The Pillars of Hades is one of the most punishing levels in the first game, because it's so damn tricky to stay on the rotating columns while fiery undead archers fire at you...The Austin said:Well, If Kratos' brother appears in the game, it's no doubt that Kratos will kill him. I mean, for Gods sake, imagine this:
Kratos: Oh, hey bro!
Kratos' Brother: I WANT REVENGE!
Kratos: OW! I'm dead now, you have your revenge.
I hate all games/stories where theres no way in hell the main character can lose.
There's Hades, Persephone (though she's already dead in GoW canon), Thanatos, Charon (like Persephone already killed by Kratos), Hermes had duties as a psychopomp to some extent, leading dead souls to the Underworld, and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate had some ties with the underworld tooEric the Orange said:wait, "gods" of the underworld. It's not about the main character winning. It's about making sure the main character wins. You don't spend the entire game fighting the one guy; you fight his armies, and his lieutenants, and so on. You make sure he can't kill you. That's most of the game. Maybe the left over Gods imbued Kratos' brother with unimaginable power, so he can put down Kratos? There is a ton of justifications that can lead to Kratos (possibly) losing. The Austin said:Well, If Kratos' brother appears in the game, it's no doubt that Kratos will kill him. That's the thing though. Kratos surviving is irrelavent because it's based on gameplay. The same argument is used when people ask how Issac Clark survived when the trained soldiers were taken downThe Austin said:Well, If Kratos' brother appears in the game, it's no doubt that Kratos will kill him.
