Wow, they really did listen to customer complaints, didn't they?

I think this is a step forward for the series, but I hope the endings will be more different than "Lightning will have silly shoes on" for every ending. What do you guys think?

As long as there's an ending where I can purposely get her brutally slaughtered to death, I'll be satisfied.

All I hope is that Noel doesn't end up being the protagonist. Now, I can't say I have anything against this character until we get some actual info, but he is going to suck. Why? Because he will. These are the people who wrote Snow.

Anyway, it's an interesting change. I'm looking forward to seeing how the monster gathering works in practice. If they enter your party as teammates it could get a nice Nocturne-style party management system.

I actually have hope for Noel. He doesn't seem like the arrogant jerk-ass that Snow was. To me, from the brief crap I've seen, he looks all right. Like a more confidence and kick-ass version of Hope. Even sounds similar in voice.

Plus, he's pretty hot.

After playing FF XIII and giving up 14 hours in, there is nothing that could get me to buy this game.

Well, almost nothing. But if I say what the something was, I would likely get banned. So I'll just leave it up to your imaginations

I think I know what you're getting out. Don't worry, something similar would have motivated me to complete FFXIII itself.

I think it'll be based more on the choices you make in the game rather than your completion rate. And yes, there are choices.

Oh god...it's happening all again! NOOOOO!!!

But seriously, this is not necessarily a bad thing. It just happens to correlate with this other previous disaster of a game.

For you to get banned it would almost have to be pedophilia or racism. I get the feeling that wasn't what you meant.

The series is dead. 13 was the last nail in the coffin, 14 lit it on fire, this is just gonna piss on the ashes. I have absolutely no hope for this game no matter how many endings it has.

This game keeps looking better and better. I personally enjoyed FFXIII, so I'd probably be getting it anyway, but it's still very reinforcing to see improvements like those.

I love getting monsters to fight for me. It's always just been a thing I obsess over.

Anyway...since noone has bothered to say it yet...'Multiple endings? In MY Final Fantasy?! RUINED FOREVER!'
On why there are monsters in your battle party

One of the changes observed in the battle system is that monsters can now be part of your party. This is to allow for more strategic roll gameplay, said Toriyama. Each monster has specific rolls, and by grouping monsters together in different ways, players can create a more personalized experience. Kitase said that the the Paradigm Shift system gives the game the image of battling while switching your decks in a card game.
I think 'roll' is supposed to be 'role'...

I did as well, I was like WTF! I was so excited. Now I am depressed.

You bastard, I thought you were talking about a sequel to the last-gen cell-shaded shooter XIII. You know, a game that was actually pretty good.

Instead I see this tripe. Talk about disappointment.

I thought he was on about a sequel to X3, that space shooter game. Colour me dissapointed!

Ah well, while I'm here: Never could finish FF:XIII. Got to the cradle before realising I had to grind for forever and a day just to get to the next stage. Only FF game I finished was FF:VII, and that was because I wrote a bot to level-grind for me :/ (It was actually quicker and more fun to write a damn macro than level up legitimately!)

I liked XIII, so I was excited when I heard about this one. Then I thought about it some more and became more cautious. After this bit of news I'm still not sure if I'll get it, but I'm interested.

What fresh hell be this?

Let's look at this. I smell artificial time padding.

The only JRPG to ever do multiple ending right, and so far the only one I'm aware of, is Chrono Trigger. Half those (including the hardest) were jokes.

......why does this matter. I mean, I understand that this id good but this is like saying that Alpha Protocol had multiple endings. It may seem fun and good but overall it still could be awful.
