J'Dato gets contracted to kill certain beasts by the people of Skyrim. Simple as that.

Ah, yes. This one does love antiques. Sometimes, this one sees valuable, rare, items in inns [small]and houses[/small]. J'Dato acquires them. J'Dato is very persuasive.

What's your position on the war?

This one has stayed out of the war. This one hates the Imperial pigs, the Thalmor and the racist Nords who stop Khajiit from entering cities. The Thalmor prevent worship of certain gods, and the Imperials are no better than their dogs.

What do you say about rumours that you're the Dragonborn?

This one is not a Dragonborn. This one is a simple hunter. This one is no hero or warrior!

Right... now, we've heard rumours you are a werewolf. What do you say to this?

At this point, J'Dato walked away. Also, my scroll mysteriously vanished. It was later found, half-burnt, in a camp fire.

Well, normally I get told of jobs from my fellow Companions.
In my spare time, I smith my own weapons and armour. Nothing is better than running a Draugr through with a sword you made yourself...

What's your position on the war?

I am a Stormcloak. I don't believe in certain... close-minded... beliefs of Ulfric. But I dislike the Thalmor more.

What do you say about rumours that you're the Dragonborn?

These rumours are true. I see no reason to hide it; it is something to be proud of!

Right... now, we've heard rumours you are a werewolf. What do you say to this?

The interview ended abruptly. I barely managed to get away from him when he shouted 'Fus Ro Dah' and sent the plates flying at me.

So, Triss, I heard that you just recently returned to Skyrim. Has it changed much since you left?

Actually, this is my first time in Skyrim. I was born and raised in Cyrodil.

Really? Why the sudden urge to visit? And is Skyrim what you expected it to be like?

Well, I didn't have much choice. I needed someplace to hide, and there really is no better place to do so. As for my expectations... I guess so. I mean, there's dragons, a civil war, and trolls around every corner, but for some reason it just fits with this place, I think.

Wait, hide? Can I ask who you're hiding from? And why?

Hmmm... I guess so, they have bigger problems to worry about now, anyways.
I'm on the run from the Imperials. I used to... solve problems... for them. One day I decided my loyalty had earned me an early retirement. They disagreed.
I have to say one thing for them, they're stubborn bastards. The world is burning and they're chasing down a lone woman. Of course, it probably didn't help that I set the dear sweet emporer's clothes on fire.

Hold on, you what?! Uh... um... why?

Wouldn't you? I can still picture the look on the guards faces! (laughs)

So, what do you do now?

Odd jobs, here and there. Taking out bandits and monsters. Also murderers and such that the law can't touch. I get by. Most of the vermin in this land are the same ones with treasure piled at their feet.

What about the war? With your rather, unique history, it sounds almost like a good idea to sign up for the Stormcloaks.

I'm not joining any side. They can burn for all I care. I can sympathize with the Stormcloaks, but I've dealt with too many wars to believe that either side is fighting for anything more than power or wealth. It's always power or wealth.
And as for the Imperials, order and stability are all well and good, but they tried to cut off my head, twice. I'm taking that kind of personally.

I can definitely understand. What about the rumors of you being the 'Dragonborn'?

Some have called me that. Truthfully, I don't understand much of it, and I don't really care. I fight dragons because someone has to stop them from destroying this whole country, not because I believe I have some sort of ancient duty I have to fulfill.
Besides, have you seen the coin you can get from some real dragon scales? It's incredible! What do people even do with these things? Make necklaces?

Well, I have to admit, you're a lot more open and honest than some of the other residents I've interviewed today!

I'm not surprised. Skyrim doesn't breed excellent speakers. And there were many times I had to pretend to be truthful and obediant to get myself out of a bind.

But, you're being honest to me, right?

Your name sounds surprisingly Nordic for a Breton. Any particular reason?

Well, believe it or not, I'm technically of Forsworn lineage. I was just a baby when Ulfric Stormcloak swooped in to reclaim the Reach. My parents were both killed in that conflict. When the Imperial legion came to sort things out, a Nordic legionnaire took pity on me and adopted me as his own.

Fascinating. Have you experienced any crisis of heritage as a result?

It's a little hard to connect with your cultural heritage after watching them decapitate your adoptive mother in the street.

Oh! I-I'm sorry...

No need to apologize. But yes, it did cause something of an internal crisis. Soon afterwards, I left for the Imperial City to do some soul-searching... determine who I really was. Never made it there.

You've never reached a conclusion?

Oh, no. I've long since decided that I'm Breton by blood, Imperial by mind, and Nordic by heart. No, I mean I never made it to the Imperial City. I was just about to leave Bruma when I got word about my father. Killed in the Civil War. I turned back to attend the funeral, and... well... dragons happened.

Yes, that caught everyone by surprise. Did you ever make it to the funeral?

Alas, no. I still pay my respects, though. Trying to get my parents' burial urns moved from Markarth to Solitude. I spend a lot more time there than I do in the Reach. Not that I don't mind crushing Forsworn skulls. They're the ones who run face-first into my mace, after all.

Do they not treat you as one of their own?

They probably think I'm tainted by Nordic influence, and I wouldn't want their respect anyway. They're savages. Brutal, heathen savages. Look, I'm pretty open-minded religiously. I worship the Nine, I've served Daedra, and I can even respect Sithis, but I draw the line when it comes to worshipping mortals like Hagraven witches.

Yet you worship the Nine, Talos included?

Talos is very much divine. His shrines bless my Thu'um, and his blood helped end the Oblivion Crisis. I do not doubt his divinity, and if the Thalmor object... well, they've served no challenge before.

This is surprising to hear, given your opposition of the Stormcloaks.

I'm sympathetic to their motivations, but the Empire is not to blame. Ulfric is. If he didn't kick up a fuss at Markarth, the Thalmor wouldn't have started cracking down. Not to mention the greater problems that would arrive from Skyrim leaving the Empire. But I'll spare you my rant against the Stormcloak cause and just say that I was happy to crush in his head.

You seem fond of crushing and smashing in general.

I find that few problems can't be solved with a mace in one hand and a healing spell in the other.

What exactly do you do?

I do what I will. That is, I don't have a specific profession I've settled down on. I've helped out various guilds, I dabble in alchemy, and I'm a damn good blacksmith, if I do say so myself. Not everyone can forge with dragon scales, after all. People wish they could wear armour this fine. The Radiant Raiment wishes they had such quality material, don't you, Taarie, you jealous *****!? *ahem* Sorry about that.

I-It's okay...

But in any case, I primarily consider myself a treasure hunter and dragon slayer.

I suppose the latter comes with the territory.

Yeah, little hard to not kill dragons when you're the Dovahkiin.

Any particular you wish to say on the subject?

I'd rather not share details. I will say, however, that with my Thu'um vocabulary, challenging me is something of a death wish.
