Hey there!

My name's Tom, I live in Scotland, have an accent that could get me a job as a news reader on the BBC and I've never been outside of Europe, not because of any kind of crippling xenophobia, merely because of crippling laziness.

On the internet I refer to myself as Orangeban, or if that's unavailabe Grapeban, and if that's unavailable I just go through a list of other fruits.

My hobbies include trawling the archives of forums and getting incomprehensibly angry at stupid shit, then venting at my friends. When I'm not doing this I'm designing hilariously self-destructive sleep schedules for myself. In a lovely little vicious circle, the more tired I am the more angry I get, and the more angry I get the more convinced I get that something is wrong with my sleep schedule.

My name is Deano, and my username was originally meant to be sarcastic... Kind of a backhand to all the '___RULEZ' and 'I_AM_DA_B3ST3ST' on XBox live... I've never really been that good at online games to be honest, a result of never really having the chance to play them all that much! I then have used the name on here, well, just because I would have forgotten my log-in name otherwise! :S

I am 23 and am in the RAF. I travel around a lot, so I have a big soft spot for handheld gaming, and actually prefer my DS to my PSP! (I was always a sucker for flip phones!) I like JRPGs, due to the fact I enjoy the storylines, and I like the fact it is so easy to pause and carry on on the DS!

I enjoy playing old PC games that I missed the first time round too, due to not having a good PC when I was younger. I've recently started to play games such as the original Fallout and Baldur's gate.

On consoles I like a mixture of FPS and WRPG's. But as I don't spend much time with my XBox, I haven't played much recently! Looking forward to changing that soon though.

Outside gaming I am a biker, and ride Cruisers. I am currently without a bike, but previously had a Honda Deuxville (A tourer, not a Cruiser) and a Yamaha Midnight Star. Unfortunately though, at the moment I am in more need of a car, due to the travelling. Also, due to my job, I like a good drink. I like to mix things up by drinking in a new town/city, or to attend themed functions! Cocktail party on an Aircraft Carrier with the local mayor and dignitries was particulary awesome!

I like to meet people, especially people I have shared interests with (unfortunately not too common in my line of work) especially people with an interest in movies, games and music!

Hopefully get to know you guys more as I spend more time on these forums!

What the hell, might as well do it.
I'm Matt, 17 going 18 from Canada.
Gifted, Douchebag, lover of nintendo and indie title.
I'm pretty good with words, I don't have to think a lot about what I write when writing, I think in my head like it's a narrative from a novel. Thinking about doing user reviews but not sure what I should review. Absolutely love retsupurae and Team avolition. I'm involved with the activism and awareness association at my school and just recently got over a bout of depression involving my friends. Decided spending some time online would be a nice little break, as I have tons of free time anyway. I also like to cook, not bake that much but I cook when I can and I also do wood working when I can, I'm currently working on a self supporting corner shelf. I think this is the best way to describe me:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3St7O2Upmik sorry it isn't embedded I'm not sure how to do that.

Hello,

I'm Jenn from Canada.

Almost all my online names have the phrase iLazy in it. I hoping to get a career in Graphic Arts as a designer or printer, or in the video game industry as a level designer/ character designer/ writer. I'd love to be able to do voice acting as more of a hobby or part-time job.

I am friendlier on the web than in real life. If you were to meet me in the classroom, you're first impression would likely be that I'm either shy or anti-social. However, when I feel comfortable, I'm quite easy-going but quite sarcastic.

I befriend guys quicker than girls, because I have four older brothers. I'll watch sports, but I am happier playing them (love soccer, basketball and volleyball even though I'm not that good). Cartoons and the Comedy Network are my main use for the television.

I'm currently reading Game of Thrones.

Fun fact(s):
-I enjoy baking. Fuck yeah, cookies and banana bread!
-If I get excited, angry, nervous, or if I speak too long, I tend to swear. A lot.
-Due to growing up with brothers, I speak/act like a boy a majority of the time, but I've been told that if it is necessary I can be quite the lady.

Hope everyone survives the new year!

Uh...I'm not too good at this sort of thing but here we go.

I'm Brandon, 17 years old. Live in the U.S. in the great state of Mississippi (hurr hurrr).
I've loved video games since I was a boy with a passion, much to the ire of my parents (they don't seem to care as long as I keep good grades in school though). I'm kind of the black sheep of my family since I share almost no common interests or opinions with them, except maybe my oldest brother.

My favorite genre of games has to either be RPGs (mostly of the "J" variety) or Fighting Games. Favorite game of all time would have to be a tie between Final Fantasy IV and Persona 3 or 4 (honestly interchangeable to me).

I casually enjoy anime but don't watch a lot of it. Mostly of the Adult Swim variety. My favorites are Code Geass and Durarara!!.

Honestly can't even remember how I discovered The Escapist. May have just been surfing the internet and clicked a link and voila, or lurked for a few months before making an account. That was back in February of last year, and I've been checking the site ever since.

That's about all I can think of to say about myself right now. Other than that, I'd like to actually make some friends here on The Escapist. Problem is, I've always this hesitation when adding people because I feel like they'll always say "who the hell is this guy?" which pretty much stops me from ever making the first move when trying to start a friendship. Not so much in real life, just online. Maybe it's just that I'm kinda shy around people I've never met.

Oh! This sounds kinda fun.

My name is Dylan and I'm from Texas. I've been a member of the Escapist for about half a year so far and I gotta say this is one of the coolest sites on the internet IMO.

I'm currently a 20 year old college student attending TTU. I'm currently studying for a Chemistry degree.

My interests include Video Games (PS3 mostly but I have recently gotten a few for my PC that I play off an on), I enjoy anime: mostly the stuff they show on Adult Swim and a few others I've seen online. I'm also an avid net surfer. I love rock music with my favorites bands being Linkin Park (mostly their early stuff), and Evanescence (beautiful songs all around).

Personality wise I'm pretty soft-spoken in public but I get more vocal when I'm with friends and people I know. I can be a little OCD at times, randomly making sure something is 'even' before moving on. Strangely, I don't do that with anything in my room.

Some of my all time favorite games include: Final Fantasy VII-IX (IX probably being my favorite), pretty much anything from Naughty Dog that isn't Crash Bandicoot, The Ratchet and Clank series, Kingdom Hearts I and II, and many others.

That's about all I've got for right now. I'll probably remember something I missed and have to edit this post later on though.

Oh my goodness I totally forgot to thank you! I think this is a great idea and the escapist is the first ever forum I've been to that didn't have one of these. You deserve a pizza-trophy.

I'm Sush Alexandra, or Sush to my friends and Sushalex to my family (sounds better in French trust me), I'm your best friend, I'm your lover, I'm the fucking Space cowboy.

I'm a big guy but light on my feet, I'm French but live in England, I'm an elegant person in most things I do... such as Skiing, I ski instead of Snowboard because Skiing is more elegant, I enjoy using bow's but consider weapons thuggish.

In RL I'm really chilled out, I like most types of music but classical is my favourite, and I spend my days chilling out and chatting with my friends for real (none of that facebook rubbish)

And I have a little black pomaranian called Spartacus

What did you think of the latest Star Trek? most Star Trek fans tell me its not Star Trek, but to me it felt like Shatner era Star Trek! I loved it!

Eh why not, can't be all bad meeting other people on here after all this time

Name: EcksTeaSea or Mike if you really want to know my real name.

Age: 20

Sex: Male

How I would describe myself: Painkiller addict, binge drinker, fantastic lover and gamer, and overall pretty decent person that tries to be nice to everyone.

Really not much to know about me. I try to keep everything simple and that includes myself as well. I skate, play video games, and love tattoos. All there is.

Okay, lets see, where to start...

I'm StormShaun, call me Shaun since thats my first name and I started the escapist...ugh *checks profile*... on the 1st of Feb, 2009...I really only had it to view ZP, but then I discovered this amazing community full of people that like the things I liked.

I'm currently 17 and going to enter College this year to do Mass Communications in Western Australia. Live with my parents still...well since I don't have a job or anything yet.

I am a gamer, well that was kind of the most obvious part, I have a 360, PS3, WII, DS and a PC, all in the same room (WII is in other room due to space). I like RPGs the most and my favorite series is Saints Row.

I like Anime, manga and VNs (Visual Novels), since I like Japanese culture a lot, my favorite anime series is Clannad due to its mass emotional damage it did to me.

I think that I can be quiet most times due to my shyness but when I get closer to the people I tend to talk more often then I should, I have one best friend and his sister as a close friend. I talk to myself in my room mostly since...well I think of it as a base and that I'm the only person to talk to...it gets lonely in here.

One thing I would like to do is meet some of my Australian Escapist friends someday, but I think I would be afraid or shy because they might be much more older then me.

Thats all I have to say...I think.

See you on the forums. :D

Alright then
I'm TheMightyAtrox
I use that name because it's my Xbox Live gamer tag. I was considering changing that, but to change the gamer tag requires MS points, so I'm in no hurry. I have better uses for my money. (If anyone feels that they need more friends whom they have never met, feel free to add me)
I'm 24 and live in North East Ohio, USA
I have an Associates degree in Web Development but am not currently usoing it. After being laid off and unemployment, I'm back into the wonderful world of retail.
I'm huge into music. Pretty much all kinds. I appreciate talent, regardless of genre. It's all music to me.
That's a nice little intro I guess.

Hello there Nathan. Nice to see you returning since you're someone I remember back from '09. I also liked, I still do, your avatar!

Moving on, I am Nam Woon. I'm Korean but I live in New Zealand. Came here when I was two but I can still speak a fair amount of my first language. I like playing video games, both PC and Xbox 360. I used to game avidly on the NDS and PSP. I still have 'em! I also like listening and playing music. I like singing, playing the Clarinet and the Piano. I sometimes blow my Melodica. Artists I like are Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Beastie Boys, Megadeth and Pink Floyd to name by first five.

I'm a fan of military science fiction which is admittedly my niche in reading books. Doesn't apply as 'badly' in watching films, I don't really have a big preference.

I don't feel safe telling you my real name, though I can say it starts with "10". On the Internet I go by either "NerfedFalcon" or some variation on my current handle. It's a long story. I've been a PC gamer of sorts since I was about five years old, though at the time I was mostly just playing what my parents thought I'd like rather than actually making decisions about what I wanted to play. It's why I happen to have a copy of pretty much every Lego game ever created (except Harry Potter 5-7.) Right now I don't play them that often myself since I just find them too easy, but my sister likes that about them and sometimes I play co-op with her on the Wii.

I joined this site because I'd heard about Zero Punctuation (forget where) and mostly just watched his videos. After a while, though, I started poking my head into forum threads that popped up in the sidebar and registered to post in them. I also started watching Extra Credits (and kept watching after they moved to Penny Arcade), Moviebob's stuff and I also watched all of Jim Sterling's show on the day each episode came out. I guess his "arrogant annoying bastard" persona warmed up to me a lot faster than anyone else.

Right now, I'm hoping that Ubisoft don't screw up the PC port of Far Cry 3, though since it's Ubisoft that's kind of unlikely. If they do, I can fall back on Bioshock Infinite, and both of them will get overridden if that Pokemon crossover gets localised to Australia. I have too many damn games in my backlog, so I'm only going to buy one of this year's "blockbusters" all year.

I was hoping this kind of thing would pop up. I've really wanted to make some friends on this site. =D

Just call me Bri. I'm a nineteen year old college student studying Illustration with dreams of one day working in conceptual art for games or animation, comic books, children's book illustration, or goodness knows all of the above if at all possible.

I've actually been lurking around The Escapist for a pretty good while, back around when Yahtzee didn't have too many videos. I would poke around the forums every now and again but never really looked at the whole site. Well eventually I started to and after a while I did sign up. As you can tell by my join date I am pretty darn new so I'm still getting used to how some things go around these forums and actually interacting with the members of the site.

My interests include Reading(just about anything sci-fi or fantasy, though I have gotten picky as of late), animation(Both the Eastern and the Western varieties), sewing, comics, and of course video games. The video games I love are usually either platformers or some kind of action adventure game. Heavy on the adventure part. =D Though I am open to just about any kind of game to try at least once. To name some favorites I enjoy just about anything by Insomniac Games, Persona 3 Portable, Okami, Legend of Zelda, and as of right now the Sam and Max adventure games.

For those who might be curious my favorite animations are FLCL, Sgt. Frog, ANYTHING BY GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY, and anything by Craig McCracken.

I'm also open for questions or just chatting really, I really wouldn't mind making friends with some of the people on this site.

Edit: And for the record: I am a brony/filly/pegasister/My Little Pony: FiM fan. =) Oh and I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. I own at least three posters. XD
