Hiya to all!

It's me, Kennedy. Yes, the new girl. You might remember me for threads such as that one from yesterday. And what was that some of you guys were saying that I'm just a fad and a one hit wonder. Well here's another thread! Boo-yah!

So I saw this at Blender.com and I figured you guys would like it:

<youtube=IfVCmPT6l68>
It's called the Spruce Deuce, and it's a very elaborate robot that plays the drums. And it's actually really good, that is if you can hear it over its own plywood body. Whatever, that's a mean jazz.
Now, I don't play the drums, I know it's hard. A lot of coordination required and such. I do own a pair of drum sticks and carry them around in my handbag just to look overall cooler and get digits from guys in the street. And no, I'm no poseur!

And that's it. Any opinions? Also if someone can teach me to embed the actual YouTube video and make bold lettering it would be much appreciated.

Edit: Thanks to Marter for teaching me to do THIS and the video.
Edit again: Thanks to Griphphin too. A bit late tho.

Heh, I want to focus on the fact that it's a drumming robot but, all my brain keeps going back to is the name.
Spruce Deuce. Epic.

Also, to embed you put [ youtube=(that bit between the = sign and the & sign.) ] minus the spaces.

Hey! You again! Yes, that is an epic name.

without the spaces for Youtube.
TEXT without the spaces for bold text.

OT: That was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure it was hard for him to make that work properly.

Oh yeah, I wasn't able to get on much yesterday, but welcome to The Escapist!

Reminds me of that Fight of the Concords song "The Humans Are Dead." Deuce doesn't look too bad on the drums, but the lack of eyelids scares me o_o
V Anywho, embedding works as such V
youtube = *whatever's after the "?v=" part in a youtube url*
Sans the spaces and *'s, and with brackets of some kind around it.
If you quote this post or any other with an embedded Youtube vid, you'll probably get a better idea, as I'm horrible at explaining things.

Are those seriously all the replies I'm gonna get?

Well, it does seems so. Oh my gosh! Am I really a one-hit wonder? Has my moment of fame passed me? Oh god, no!
Don't do this, please. It makes you look so much worse.

About the video: For a robot, he's not a bad drummer. That guy playing the keyboard however, is quite good.

Hahaha! Nothing to see here. I tripped and fell!
Please don't do this; I think it's against the guidelines to bump your own thread... especially twice - even if that's not the case it does make you look like you're asking for attention...

EDIT: A quick check seems to imply those posts were edited from those quoted earlier; regardless it might have been best to edit those posts with something more relevant.

OT: That's pretty awesome for something made of plywood; not much else to say on the matter really - it's a drumming robot and is therefore limited in it's overall drumming ability and functionality.

Hehe. I want a robot called spruce deuce to play drums for me. He could follow me around all day and do rim shots, that would be cool and totally unnecessary.

Yes I know. Well I didn't knew, but now I do. Won't happen again.
I do think robots will replace drummers in the future. I can see Edgar Winter replacing his drummer with a robot.

Sounds like it to me. ¬¬

Cool? I guess; the noise the 'robot' makes annoys me however and rather put me off the drumming as a whole. If he can cover that I'll be more impressed.
