Invalid Format? Help please

Hey guys, I'm trying to connect my Acer lap top to my Sony Bravia TV and all I'm getting when I connect the two is on my tv it says "Invalid format" what should I do? How do I get this to work??

It sounds like your laptop is trying to output a resolution your TV doesn't understand. Try setting it to 1920X1080 (if you have a 1080P or 1080i TV) or 1280X720 (if it's a 720P model). It should work.
