In FPS games, it all boils down to twitch reflexes and the appropriate hand eye coordination. I myself as a relatively 'good' fps player use a really low sensitivity (according to other people who played with my settings), obviously y-axis isn't inverted. Sometimes I even bother with flicking the little DPI switch on my mouse when sniping if I need that extra low sensitivity (which according to the makers is what it's therefore).
But this is beyond the point as I found this nifty program which tracks your mouse movement if you leave it running in the background, it's meant to be all artsy and that, but I let it run while playing Warsow and COD 6 respectively, and it's pretty interesting to see the difference.
So, do you play low sensitivity, or high sensitivity? Does it change in different games / gun use? Oh and if you want try out that prog and take a look. link [http://iographica.com/]

Warsow is a quake arena type shooter by the way (take a look at it, it's free)
Call of Duty
