I don't have a problem with this game. There is a double-standard because women are smaller than men, weaker than men, and have a much lower pain tolerance than men. And in the past men have used all three qualities to deny women their place as sentient beings in society (The Romans didn't even name female children because they didn't count as people).

Sucks? Yeah, it does suck that beating up men is considered cute. So does the getting denied high paying, powerful jobs because of the mistaken belief that your uterus will get in the way.

So yeah, you guys need to get over yourselves. Go get a MBA then raise three kids waiting tables because most companies don't hire women executives then tell me about a double standard.

I hope this isn't the same crowd that swears most video games aren't at least mildly sexist.

Also the reason why a game like this doesn't get a particularly large sphere of press is because the media tend not to treat female-to-male domestic violence because females are still considered weaker and inferior. Think of a chihuahua trying to flatten a bull dog and then consider whether or not you'd call it a 'dog fight'. Also, this game was probably created by a male, who is suggesting women are naggy and catty to the point where a girlfriend would hit her boyfriend until he is 'perfect' because she, being a woman, is a *****. And bitchiness is just what women do, right?

Most men would laugh at the idea that a woman is actually beating a man up. Start there instead of rage-quitting social sex politics the first time there's a spoof made about the issue.
So much for equality eh?

Now we all know that there is no excuse for male violence against women but here is a double standard because people make excuses for female on male violence.

You have to start somewhere.

Preferably not at a single-level shallow iOS game that illustrates a hypocrisy. I get it. Finally being able to overtly say about a material piece of media "THIS IS SEXIST" wherein the sexism is toward males, is tempting.

The double standard isn't people making excuses, it's people flat-out excusing it because women are considered weaker than men inherently. Go talk to the "women shouldn't serve on the frontlines" crowd about it and get back to us when their draconian sexual paradigms don't hold sway over the culture of gendered violence in the world.

I don't care about the double-standard against men because it doesn't hit me in the wallet. You don't mess with the working class' money, I don't care if you think their boobs will get in the way if they pursue a career in mathematics or not. The fact that some iOS game features female on male violence doesn't bother me, and I'm willing to overlook it as long as the money situation is how it is.

You think this is the first time there has been an example of female violence against men? How about that incident where a lady cut her ex-husbands penis off and the The Talk ladies laughed about it.

Let's not pretend that this is the only instance of female violence against men and let's not pretend women can't hurt men.

So...what else are you willing to overlook in the name of vengeance?

If you are referring to the Bobbit incident, he did in fact orally rape her before she did that. Bastard had it coming, and I swore off Howard Stern for that fundraiser he threw to support him. Worthless freaking rapist.

So take it from Crono: Make sure you put your women in their place, or they'll cut off your ding-dong!
That's the best you can do? A woman drugs and cuts off a mans penis because he divorced her and you see nothing wrong with that? Further, the cast of an all female talk show laughs about it on national television and you think that is ok too?

This is exactly the double standard we are discussing here. The belief that when women attack men, they must have deserved it.

No, I think you are good at being butthurt judging by this comment:

it's just that you are biased and only have sympathy for female victims of violence.

Honestly, I find this hysterical.

Not so much the app itself as the response to it. It's a pointless little iOS game that no one with any sense would take seriously, yet people are getting all up in arms about it. I just find it silly as hell.

So, an app where a man would beat his girlfriend until she was perfect would be fine too?

I'm quite glad this was made. Maybe now both genders can agree that being objectified in any media is just tasteless and won't be accepted.

A part of me wonders if that was the whole point of this game; to, well...make a point.

Of course.

It's tasteless and stupid, just like this one is, but it's still a stupid iOS game that no one with any sense would take seriously.

Getting all butthurt because someone said something you don't like is the height of stupidity (and arrogance).

This would absolutely change if there was actual domestic abuse involved, but as long as it's restricted to cartoons/actors/fakery, there's no reason whatsoever to get so offended by it.

It's in the category "Girl Games", it's target audience is girls.

You haven't been around the block much if you think no one would take it seriously, feminists would ***** non stop about such an app and you know it.
