The whole Interplay vs Bethesda Fallout thing got me thinking. Far too often we see a developer create a IP that is basically just a rehash of another developers property. (darksiders anyone?)
So I would really love to see more developers sell off their old abandonware IPs (Basically a game the developer has not used it and has nothing in the works for a new one for a period of 5+ years) to allow another developer to build upon what is there. So the question is what virtually abandoned IP would you like to see the creator sell off and what developer would you like to see buy it. Elaborate would the buyer keep to the original vision or take it in a whole new direction.
To give a start off example. I wouldnt mind seeing Squaresoft sell off Vagrant story. Have Bioware pick it up. I think it fits with alot of Biowares writing style and they certainly have the potential to make a solid action based rpg game.
