So the missus was thinking of getting herself a tab through her workplace for a discount, and she asked me to help her choose which one to pick.

But I've never used a tab in my life.

This is where you knowledgeable folks come in. The specs that her workplace provided are as follows:

Apple Ipad

Apple Ipad Wi-Fi +4G 16 GB - White/Black
Belkin Case Folio Pu/Lthr magnet Ipad2

Price: 610 ?

Galaxy Tab
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (3G) 16 GB White or Silver
Belkin flip stand Gr/Bl Galaxy Tab 10.1"

Price: 480 ?

This is exactly what was written on the paper she got from her workplace detailing the different choices available. I reckon the second line in each description is for some case of some kind.

Considering the price and the fact that I don't care which logo is printed on the back, which one should we get?

They'll both probably do whatever it is you're planning to do with them. There are a few differences that you might want to take note of, such as the tabs ability to use mircosd cards, or the ipads higher resolution screen, but it's mostly just about what operating system you want to use. Personally I'd never choose iOS over android...it's too restrictive and apple is all anti jailbreak and will brick your shit if you don't use the thing the way they want you to, and android is much more capable out of the box anyway. They're both pretty easy to use when it comes to normal operation though (unless there's a problem, in which case if you've got an ipad you're gonna have a bad time due to pretty shoddy error feedback) so you won't run into much trouble unless you're an advanced user, though past familiarity with either iOS or android could make one or the other easier to use.
