In my opinion ,these games can be a look at how not only hand-held but all games will be shaping up later on. after playing games such as Isotope and Rolando, i feel these games are overlooked by the eyes of the video game community, Your views on the iPhone Upheaval?

Games without buttons are baed. There are some DS games that rely on the touch screen A LOT (The World Ends With You, Kirby even moreso), but they still have some BUTTONS. Seriously.

Till they start making iPhones with buttons (that is, never), I'm treating the iPhone/Pod gaming as "100% gimmicks". Same with Wii games that only use the motion controls.

You need buttons. You always need buttons. You need the force feedback of the buttons and clogging up the screen with fingers only makes some games near impossible to play. Try having an analog button on a touch screen. Just not possible.

Still take say a PSP add all the sensors built into the Zune HD with a screen like the Zune has and it would be great system. To me at least. The iPhone's sensors sometimes fail to register properly when I used it. Never happens with the Zune.

I have, and I sort of in the middle. While some games like Doom3, Mass Effect: Galaxy, and Earthworm Jim were great. The controls and lack of buttons get very frustrating. So I'm for iPhone games so long as they are playable.

Naw, they're really just a side idea for the phone and browser thingy.
Rolando is fun, TapTap Revenge is fun, Jelly Car is revolutionary, but aside from those three, not many are great. More dedicated and proper indie programmers will be needed to launch the platform as a whole.

Iphone games are not the future of gaming. The future of gaming is a more-advanced PS, a more advanced Xbox, a more active Nintendo, and more realistic sandbox RPG shooters.

You guys do realize that a lot of iPhone/iPod Touch apps put buttons on the screen, like an analog stick? Don't complain about buttons if you haven't even seen how the apps are played, just that its a touch screen. I don't see how they are "trivial annoyances" if they are there to entertain you for a short amount of time.

i strongly belive that they are the next step for gaming. yes the buttons are on the screen, but it can handle psp graphics and ds controls. hell they going to put portal, unreal, and gta chinatown wars on the iphone. they already put call of duty nazi zombies, and it looks almost as good as the Xbox.
