Unfortunately, as much as I like the OS and hardware, Apple's heavy handed app submission process is keeping all the truly great apps from seeing the light of day. For example, the spiritual successor to Seaman was rejected for "Unpleasant gameplay"...

The games I play the most are Tris (free Tetris clone, better than the official one, and no longer available), Cube Runner, and Tap Defense (Desktop Tower Defense, iPhone version)

As much as I don't like the quality og IGN reviews, they do have a handy iPhone app that's useful for passing time waiting in line. Oh, and don't forget the best app ever: Rimshot!

Let's see - is there an application that allows you to completely erase the operating system and put something that actually supports multitasking onto it? I mean, the iPhone has more bloat than a ruminant with a stomach problem, and a list of distinctly unimpressive applications, along with its other crimes:

Apple iPhone 3G: The iPhone may be one of the most popular smartphones released in recent times, but the Nokia E71 makes it look like a children's plaything. The solid stainless steel and chrome finish of the E71 makes the plastic finish of the iPhone look like an elaborate toy, and it just goes downhill from there. With an inferior camera, no way to expand the internal memory, low battery life, an unimpressive operating system and most of all, an almost-complete lack of interface which doesn't use the touch screen, the iPhone doesn't endear itself to the business customers which the E71 aims for. The only place where the iPhone proves superior is in its music capabilities, and it only breaks even at best when it comes to the internet and GPS capacities. The so-called "Jesus Phone" will likely sell more units, but the E71 remains the superior phone.
I think you can tell that I find it vastly over-rated, and in fact, potentially harmful to the smartphone market.

Let's run through that operating system more closely:
- Based on UNIX, so ostensibly should be able to multitask... it can't.
- Where's the copy-and-paste function? Uh oh.
- You see that keyboard layout that's at the bottom of your screen? Microsoft worked out a better layout years ago, and even Palm OS has a superior touch-screen keyboard.
- Face it. Your OS sucks.
I agree, the iPhone isn't for heavy business users, although I have one and I love it, the reason for the love is that its the only phone i've ever understood how to use.
