iPhone users have more sex?

Just read this article on IGN:

Basically it says that according to OkCupid, one of the US's largest free online dating services, iPhone users average more sexual partners than other smartphone users. Some of the statistics are pretty ridiculous, such as the fact that 30-year-old women who use iPhones apparently have twice as many sexual partners as Android users.

My first thought was "Who the hell is keeping track of such things?"

My secnd thought was "more sexual partners =/= more sex =/= better sex."

Maybe that's just my jealously talking. What are your thoughts, Escapist? Does your brand of phone help/hurt your chances of getting laid?

Or, more likely, the service takes its data purely from its customers, who own use online dating because they;

a) Are tech-savvy, meaning they own an iPhone incidentally (Common cause)
b) Own an iPhone, the only phone people bother to identify by model (No conflicting data submitted)
c) Own an iPhone, and as such need to use online dating sites.

Why are we studying this? People are going to have sex regardless of whether they have a cell phone or not. Is this going to be a new aspect incorporated in Apple's advertising? I'd like to think that when I have a partner again, she'll want to sleep with me for other reasons.

I believe the correct conclusion to draw from this is that if you own an iPhone, there's a good chance you're a whore.

Really the idea that some idiot has gone thru the trouble of creating such statistics and has done the research for it, just makes me laugh at the world.

I happen to use an iphone as work phone so I can receive emails on the go. At the time it was basically the only smart phone released in australia and also had the best plan I could find for my business.

In no way shape or form has my iphone got me laid. Unless you count that time I googled porn on it.
