Well I'm pissed less then 10 minutes ago my ipod headphones broke by getting caught on a door. I'm angry because this isn't the first time either those things are built to break. I say there shouldn't be a warranty on the ipod but on the headphones itself those things are expensive like $20. I'm sure that I'm not the only one this has happened to. Thoughts?

Mine didn't go bad until after a few good months of playing.

But I'm generally really careful with things that are expensive to replace.

Don't use the ipod headphones, buy a better set of headphones. Mine have much better sound quality, plus those ear hooks that help when I'm running to the bus.

get different ones, I hear skullcandy are really good, however I just prefer over the ear ones so I tend to avoid skullcandy. mine are Philips and they've been working pretty well until recently, but that was my fault. they cost 20 bucks and last 3-4 months if you treat them like shit so I think it's a decent deal.

Go to China town they have the same earbuds for under 10 bucks while there 15 every where else. they look exactly the same but sound isn't incredible or maybe its just the design of that set.

I got seinnheisers (or however you spell the name), they're usually cheaper than $20 and the sound quality is really good. Or you could try Skull Candy, and it's the same sort of deal - nice sound, cheaper price.

Although... If you want ipod headphones, don't they send out a free pair if you break yours? Call customer service or something - a friend of mine phoned a few times in one day just so he could get a couple of spare sets.

My dog chewed mine to shit, and apple charges $40 aussie dollars for new ones. I found a different set of earbuds, Sony i think, and they are a thousand times better.

Start off by selling the iPod headphones.

If you've got pretty money to spend, buy Skullcandies or Bose headphones. If not, buy JVC Gummies.

Got mine for £7 at HMV. Except I fell asleep on mine at one of the earphones came off. And then recently they have stopped working completely, except when I bend the chord in a specific way. Had them for about 4 months. I'm annoyed though, because I wouldn't mind getting some iPod ones, except most don't reach my ear anymore (if my iPod is in my trouser pocket).

Mine broke after "a few good months of playing" as Kogarian put it. Which is horrible, imo. The in-ear earphones I had before that (Sennheisers) last me more than a year, and I've had my new in-ear (Sony) earphones for about 9 months now - they're still going strong.

that's about the same price when you do the price conversion

also $20 is not very expensive for headphones, mine were over $100

I use full fledged headphones rather then the buds better sound and removes temptation to listen to them in class

Both my ipod headphones have lasted well over a year each. They're fine if you look after them.

I had my ipod headphones fall apart too. I have a warranty on my Ipod through bestbuy and I called them up and they sent me a free replacement pair.
