iPod/iPhone/iPad App Compatiability

I wanted to get a game app for my iPod Touch, but its only avaliable for iPhone/iPad. I was wondering though if the it could still play it since it doesn't require a phone or constant wireless access for use.

Anyone with experience here know?

Newer iPhone/iPod Touches have better graphics, retina display and run crap faster.

Chances are, nine times out of ten, opening the app will cause it to crash.

It has nothing to do phone capabilities or wifi, the newer iDevices have better hardware.

If the app actually works, expect it to be very laggy and very frustrating.

Taking a shot in the dark and saying it's Infinity Blade.

Nope....War of Eustrian. And I got my iPod Touch not more than 5 months ago, in November. Its a 32GB, and the product description said it was the newest version. (I got it from Amazon.com)
