I need help importing the songs from my iPod to the new iMac I just got.

My last computer recently just broke and is completely useless now, but I still have my iPod and I recently got an iMac but I want to know if there's a way to bring all the songs from my iPod to the iTunes in my new Mac.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it- There is a way to take the files from an ipod onto windows (maybe not macs) but none of them are named or tagged.

Hopefully you will install Rockbox (linux) on your ipod from now on to stop this encryption of your files by Apple

Unfortunately there is no way through iTunes to bring music back from your iPod to your iTunes, which is a real bummer. You might want to try Googling a program that will do it for you, but you're SOL when it comes to iTunes itself.

I use a programme called Pod2PC - it's very good.

If inappropriate, delete. It's not illegal, at least I don't believe it is.

You'd be better off not posting flamebait.

OT: I think you can transfer songs by dragging them from your iPod's music to the library. I'm not sure though.

Luckily, I didn't buy the Mac. A friend of mine never used it and when my Toshiba died, she gave me her Mac, which was extremely nice seeing as it was around 5000 dollars when she bought it.

well that is nice, too bad it'd be impolite to sell it. cause if it weren't you could sell the mac and ipod, buy a op and mp3 player and have enough to rebuy your music from somewhere that isn't itunes.
What are some good MP3 players that aren't iPods? Even tough I'm not a big Apple fan, I really like the iPod.

Little secret on a side note; I don't buy any of my music.
