I heard that the Republic of Ireland (Where I live) is planning to introduce a web blocking legislation without a referendum.

So I'm spreading the word and letting people know about this. If you are in Ireland (and you may not be but it ties into the whole SOPA issue anyway) and you have any opinions on this then get yourself involved, there are a whole lot of sites that give information about it and can be accessed easily.

Please don't let this be another thing in the long line of Ireland's shoulda woulda coulda category.

Public opinion doesn't matter to Irelands government. Look what happened when the population refused to join the Euro...

I don't suppose you have a source? I know the people running the Dail are idiots, but I can't imagine this actually happening.

I can't believe it, this is an absolute joke and without debate too. What good do they actually think this will do? Fuck this country, honestly it's a bloody joke.
