And with that, they have their topic for the next episode of their BlogTV channel. That'll be fun to watch.

Yay go Marvel!

And the continuity thing is the coolest thing since bread came sliced.
Back when the first X-men movie (or spider-man movie) came out I asked a friend "Do you think they would ever make an Avengers movie"
My friends reply was "Highly doubtful, to many big movie stars never will work out"
And yet here we have it, 2012 = AVENGERS!

So since i got my Avengers "wish" come true I will just add another title in here:

"Marvel Civil War"

I am just saying, it could have been awesome!

I think DC should stay away from a Justice League movie though. Nolan's Batman wouldn't work in it at all..
Is there any news of an attempt at Superman again?
A while ago, I read somewhere that they were making a sequel to Superman Returns. Instead of doing the decent thing and investing all their money into an MIB-style mind wiper so we all forgot that stupid crap about Superman having an asthmatic, zombie-eyed kid who could nevertheless throw a piano across a room.

On the other hand, I read somewhere else that there were plans to reboot the Superman franchise and just pretend that the movie never happened. Oh, internet, you're so full of lies and half-truths.

Also, I agree with you about the JLA movie, but not because of Batman. The character does (kinda) fit the same mould as the late 90's/early 00's JLA - the whole Tower Of Babel thing, and so on. I just don't think it would work. A friend of mine (who has never been a comic fan) flat-out refuses to believe that Batman and Superman exist in the same universe. He insists it's one of the stupidest ideas he's ever heard. In comics, they can pull that off, but in a movie it becomes more apparent that Superman doesn't really need to be part of a group. If he wanted to he could throw the whole damn planet into the sun, does he really need a mentally disturbed rich dude with abandonment issues following him around? I love me some Batman, but I think a film audience's reaction would be more along the lines of "Why don't Superman and The Flash do everything at superspeed, and leave Batman and the fish guy at home to make the dinner?"

When I heard this the second time the song stuck in my head!
So now the damn thing's on repeat and won't stop 'till I'm dead!
I want to make it quiet down; if I can't that's too bad,
cuz Tony Stark is soon gonna drive me Stark raving mad!

I was wondering when Random was going to get a shoutout on the Escapist.

I love this guy's stuff. His Iron Man/Batman stuff is hilarious, though I'm a big fan of Rorsach and Deadpooooool.

Already called it my favorite series on YouTube in a thread I made and posted the exact same video! Mr Chalk, are you taking after me? Been following this guy since his first vid. Good Evening Friends at the end must be the best ending song I have seen since Still Alive.

well, I wouldn´t be too surprised if they made a civil war animated movie. since they did planet hulk a while ago and ultimate alliance 2 was all about that

Well the Planet Hulk Animatedmovie sucked, so I would rather they didn't. Besides there is a HUGE difference between the animated Marvel stuff and the live action stuff.

And I think the Civil War storyline would make into a very interesting move, that probably a lot of people will like

Interesting take, thanks for that.

Personally though, I agree with your friend... partially. To be honest, I think that it was always illogical of Batman to be in the JLA at all.
That is, he barely accepts help in his war on crime from fellow Gothamites, and also, that Gotham is too central to his mission to actually risk distracting himself from it.

Batman went to Hong Kong to chase Lau in the Dark Knight because of Lau's dealings with Gotham's mobs... not because he was an oily snake, though he was.

And you're right, Superman and the Flash would probably leave Batman looking redundant.
Also, while he respects Superman, he's not exactly his golfing buddy.. I really can't imagine him following him anywhere :p

I still think that a JLA movie would be a mis-step. Just because Marvel is doing the Avengers, doesn't mean DC have to copy them with a JLA movie.
