An egg. Grammar is fundamental. :)

edit. Sorry I couldn't help it.

No an egg is not round, unless you are looking at a specific dimension of it.

if you look at it from the top or bottom it's round, if you look at it from the side it's oval

so it depends on how you look at it i guess.

my vote still goes with oval since to me it has to be completely round to be a circle

No, it can be roundish. Either way i know for sure, however, that it came before the chicken.
Totally not! T-Rex came first! Then it evolved into a chicken! And so eggs were born! Don't you watch discovery channel...jeez.

Yes, a simple definition look up would have sufficed.

But since some people are saying no........

Anything with a circular cross section and free of angular surfaces is considered round.
Why is this a debate topic?

If you look at it from the top, a 2 dimensional view, then yes.

Otherwise it is oblong.
Not a 3D-ellipse or sphere because the sides are uneven.

Discoverty?

If the egg is to be considered a cell, then it came first. Not to mention you are overlooking the fact that dinosaurs laid eggs.

You sir have never been more wrong. First the egg came along, was struck by a meteorite causing it to break up into several chickens. Thus the chicken was born.
You learned that from Jurassic Park or something? Everyone knows the the chicken evolved from a T-Rex and then it layed eggs!

See these pictures!

Definition from Dictionary.com

Round - free from angularity; consisting of full, curved lines or shapes, as handwriting or parts of the body.

Ovals have no angles therefore it is round.
