Check out a company called Origin PC. They are former Alienware guys that left because fo Dell. Escapist members get free shipping and I think something else.

I have a custom built system from DigitalStorm; and I have been very happy with it. Good gaming rigs and you choose exactly what you want. Right now they have a 10% off deal. Its worth looking into.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!

I bought one of those once, thought it would be awesome.

It was a overheating piece of shit. And dealing with the "taliban" tech support was the most horrible thing. Time after time I had to deal with them, sending it in the factory so many times I lost count. Sometimes they were so stupid I would ask to speak to their manager, and they would just say no and hang up......WTF!??!

I eventually had to threaten them with legal action, then they said send everything back and we will refund your money.

Dealing with Alienware was possibly the worst and most infuriating moments of my life.

No, buy a cheap laptop, and build a gaming rig.
It also gives you redundancy so that if one goes down you have a second option.

People do realise the m15x is a laptop right? As in, you can't build your own.

If you want a gaming laptop, the m15x is powerful, but suffers in battery life.

For good value, reasonable battery and moderate gaming power, the Asus N61 series is a pretty good thing to check out.

With that kind of money you should really do some research and custom build your own computer, or at least buy the parts you want and get a professional to assemble it. Alienware is way overpriced; too much of the money you pay goes toward the brand name and the appearance.

Oh god no. I got my laptop for $1000 Australian and I can run Metro 2033 on the highest settings without any performance issues.
