Anonymous isn't an exclusive club, its an emergent group. The OP says that they have a balanced moral compass, but that's only true in aggregate, the kid who wanted to shoot the school was just as much an anon as anyone else. The beauty of anonymous is that unlike real life politics people are forced to make their own opinions instead of following some cult of personality.
Look at the healthcare debate, when the GOP were for single-payer their voters loved it, but now the party is against it, its nazi socialist plot to kill america. In an anonymous forum you just see a post and have to read more then the name to figure out if you agree or disagree.
Look into the concept of Demarchy, where all aspects of government are voted on, rather then being forced to vote for one of 2 parties, neither of which can possibly represent your ideal positions, and neither of which is ever the average of the country on all issues.
