is anyone else playing as a Khajiit in Skyrim?!

My buddy is playing as a Khajiit thief/rogue/assassin badass thing, and has rolled him to be lethal if unseen but a little squishy in a direct fight to force him to play tactically.

Looks pretty awesome. Loot a vic's pockets for all his good stuff, then x30 sneak backstab with his Elven Dagger while his friends wander around going "hey, what happened to Bob.... *gurgling death noise as throat is slit*"

The best story moment I've seen so far (covering with spoilers)

The Lights Out quest line, where a fellow criminal teams up with you and asks you to knock out the lighthouse so that an incoming ship will run aground and you can split the loot between him, his sister and you. You do this, and he thanks you for it and sends you off down to the boat to meet up with his partner in crime.

This is where it gets cool, since the mobs don't aggro on you, but playing as a thief/merc makes you wary, so (after pickpocketing all of the henchmen on the way in), he pickpoketed a note on the sister's body revealing that the plan was to double cross you all along, so he just kills her before she even sees him, then sneaks out. The beauty being that the game accounts for you doing this, instead of breaking the quest. It was beautiful. Then you can head off and take your revenge on the original guy, now in his hideout with all the loot. This hideout also showcased the much improved archery (compared to oblivion), with some sweet long range stealth kills of several henchmen to thin out the ranks.

I bet the quest can go multiple ways, if you can convince the sister to work with you etc, or pay her off or something, I have no idea. I just like the way you seem to be able to do things your way.

My other housemate is playing totally differently - pretty much the bull in a china shop approach with lightning and fire and just wading right in, he;s not a Khajiit though.

Noble Nord warrior. His backstory is that he came to Skyrim to study the extremely interesting Dwemer ruins. (Because I do find them very interesting)Electric shock in the left and a Scimitar in the right. Can't wait for a glass/daedric blade!

Nah, I always hated the Khajiits in Elder Scrolls games. Admittedly they're a little cooler these days in Skyrim, but they've still got nothing on Argonians. I've always felt that the Khajiits were the least fleshed out and interesting of the races, like someone just said "Let's make a cat-people race!" and then left it at that. Their home-country is a desert called elsewhere for god's sake, I mean what the hell? ("Elsweyr" to be precise, but it really is pronounced "Elsewhere")

Before you say Argonians are just lizard-men, I'd like to point out that they have a weird symbiotic-relationship with sentient trees that worship Sithis, the primordial god of chaos. They also have a cool clan-type culture thing going, and I like how they refer to each other as "egg-mates" and little things like that.

Khajiits might be interesting in their own ways too, but I have just not encountered any reason to care about them at all yet.

Khajiit here! Made him totally white, to fit into the setting. As for their lack of special abilites, Night Vision on demand is pretty handy, and their unarmed attack stacks with the Werewolf claws if you go for that. And even so, who cares. I'm a huge muscled white tiger dude with a Greatsword, I don't give a fuck.

Also, aside from a few exceptions, the racials aren't anything special this time around, I just went with the race that I liked the look of.

I'm a Khajiit. I love the race even though their racials suck ass. M'aiq is the best character in Elder Scrolls history! Bring back his fur hat!

I made a Khajit. Originally I was planning to be a Dark Elf, but I just... wasn't feeling it. I remade another character, a khajit in basically the same build I was making my Dark Elf. But it felt much better.

That, and I also love killing shit with my claws. Went through most of the beginning parts of the game with my claws alone. Then i FINALLY got weapons that dealt more damage than my claws.

Then I got the gloves of the pugilist. Back to madclawing faces off. It is so very goddamn satisfying getting to kill Sabre cats and Bears with my claws.

Quoted for truth.

I kept in mind that I wanted a race that simply felt "right". Didn't care about any racials or any of that.

As much as I like the Skyrim setting (I LOVE IT), I feel like I don't "belong" unless I'm a Nord. My Khajit is dark brownish/green, and sticks out like a sore thumb to kinda personify the fact that I feel like I do not belong there.

Yeah I'm playing a Khajiit Archer/Assassin/Sneaky Bastard.

Hoping to add Werewolf to that discription but I've yet to contract the disease or find Hircines shrine. My elder scrolls lore is a little rusty though, he's the one with the ring that has something to do with the werewolves right?
Just join the champions (companions? cant remember) in whiterun. Like 2 quests in they offer to make you one!

Oh sweet! To be honest I kinda skimmed through Whiterun the first time there. Far too eager to get to actually killing a Dragon.

Well I'm playing a Khajiit Archer/Assassin. Like everyone else and their dog judging from this thread. I'm also a werewolf! So CatWolfMan.

My character on the left and his husband Deerkethus on the right.

Go team Khajiit!

Once I get Skyrim for christmas, I'll be playing one. ^_^

EDIT: Not OT but still related to Skyrim... Is there any way to become a good fist-fighter in Skyrim now that they've removed the unarmed skill that was in previous Elder Scrolls games?
there's some enchantments you can put on gloves to make them do more melee damage, and in the heavy armor skill tree you can choose a perk that makes your unarmed melee attacks do +10 damage if you're wearing steel bracers

I'm playing a Breton mage right now, but a Khajit archer and a Nord with a battle-axe are next.
Experimenting with vampirism with my mage, not sure if the bonuses are worth the weakness to fire.

Well I have played as a Khajiit in Oblivion. I made him into a stealthy assassin for the Dark Brotherhood.

And perhaps if I ever find out where the Dark Brotherhood is in Skyrim, I'll make a Khajiit character specifically to play that quest line.

I decided to be Khajiit Sword 'n' Board Heavy Armor Warrior, because I don't follow race/class guidelines!

That perk does equal damage to your bracer armor value, so I'm using my Legendary Dragonplate Armor, and running around unarmed cause that does more damage than my weapons.

Khajiit warrior mage. :) I did 4 playthroughs with Oblivion and they were all High/Wood Elves, so I wanted to try something new. One of the male Khajiit presets looked really cool so I picked it. It also reminded me of the Ronso from Final Fantasy.

I was going to use a female character in Skyrim but the male Khajiit looked a bit better.

I had to play as a Dark Elf chick first. After that maybe an argonian, somehow I doubt I'll be playing as a furry. :p
