It seems as if this group "internet freedom fighters" called Anonymous http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_%28group%29#Activities [] is in the news every day for hacking into another big name company's network.

They are being blamed for the Sony PSN outage, hacking into various government websites, and most recently, hacked into Eidos' website. With all of these security breaches, it seems as if these people can access anything that they want. Its scary to think how many websites hold your personal information, and not knowing who will be their next target, does anyone feel as if their info is safe anymore?

Yes, tons of people are safe, just don't act a fool while they're watching.
Sure that's a lot harder for big name companies, so they just need to not take pop shots at them, don't talk about them, and they should be hacked.

What? Personal information put onto the internet is at risk from hackers?

Seriously, they like silly masks, but otherwise, what differentiates them from any other hackers?

It's starting to look like a modern version of France's Reign of Terror (led by Maximilien Robespierre), except with less beheading. Anonymous is also attacking itself.

I'm really surprised how they can keep organized. I mean 4chan is... a bit of a mess, and I can't imagine how something so powerful could rise from that... yeah, you know what I mean.

Im not saying that we should be scared of them in particular, or that they're the only hackers out there. I'm just saying that its a little unnerving to know that anyone who really, really wants to get your information can get it, and there isn't really anything we can do about it.

You can just not put your info out on the internet. If you are an empty shell, they have nothing to find.
