Is Blazblue CPEX worth it?

For some reason I've been really craving an anime-type fighting game lately, but I only have an XBox One. The only game I've found that they have available is Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. However, the game is $50 (which seems really high for a game that has been out for nearly a year). 2 questions:

-Is the game worth the price? Bearing in mind I'm a pretty casual fighting game fan (ie. I'm not going to spend 20-30 hours a week mastering characters).
-Is the game entirely in Japanese? All the screenshots only show Japanese characters. Just want to make sure it offers more than one language.

Thanks for everyone's input!

Xbox is not what you want to play anime figters on if you wish to have a semblance of a community to fight with and improve and ps3 has crossplay with ps4 so everyone plays on those systems. If you don't care about playing people and stuff then sure might as well get it on xbox. Of course the game is translated, the storymode is some thirty hours long (notice, this is the third chapter of the story, each game is a part of a single tale so to get the full picture you wanna play all of them in order) they couldn't leave it untranslated in a western release, its just that competitive people who generate the images one would find online tend to import the game from Japan as it comes out faster there.

All that said, I would honstly wait for BB centralfiction which is alredy out in arcades and will be out on consoles within the year, extend is already an old game by now. Also next month Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator will be out so that may hold you over until then, though like the others this too is ps3/ps4.

Thanks, yeah I'll probably hold out until I give in and buy a PS4 (like I should have in the first place).

Yeah, I'd definitely hold out for a PS4 before you buy any anime fighting games.

Also this. Centralfiction's console version doesn't have a release date yet, but is likely to be late this year or very early next year. You can already get the Revelator demo (which is, for competitive purposes, basically the full game) too and try to start figuring out some characters.

We gotta get some Revelator group started or something when it drops.

I already play all the anime figters pretty much so I don't even need to wait for rev to hit lol. We had a BB group some years ago but I never got to play anyone there as they were all on old versions or something lol. I did fight a few on the original persona arena but that didn't last long.

But yeah if you're somewhst near the east coast and wanna figt my Sin on Xrd Sign send me an invite, psn is dreikoo, always lookin for new people to fight.

Ah damn. I'm on west coast, Pacific Northwest, so our online experience probably wouldn't be too solid. That sucks. We could still try sometime on Sign or just when Revelator drops, just to see. I know the game is only really marginally different from Revelator but I've gotten so used to the new mechanics in Revelator that I'm not sure I want to go back, lol.

I'm not too big of a fan of fighting Sin as a Slayer player but it helps to have a pretty good Sin in locals to learn the matchup. Fucking Beak Driver, though. Or just his damage in general.

As long as its in the 6f range or below it should be playable. And yeah Sin usurped Slayer and his silly damage throne in this game, he also stole my old main's fire meter for his meater so he was a natural pick. His damage is good cause his mixup is ass though, all of the damage I get is from antiars or counterhit specific cofirms when peope mash when they should just keep blocking.

I have the PC version and I would say it's worth it, at least if you like the story like I do. I don't think the system requirements are much and there is a community on there. I still have to get going with the story mode at some point but I keep having to make some scrubs step aside with my main man Terumi online. It's a habit really, boot up the game and I join a room without really thinking about it.

Today I had the depressing yet hilarious thought that for Terumi's ground mixup game, the low hit on Serpent's Laceration is a better overhead than the overhead version of Serpent's Laceration. I guess that's what happens when your only standing overhead is a telegraphed super.

Haha yeah I bet even the pc version has more people than the xbox one, though since every competitive person plays on ps3/4 I still reccomend that.
