I love Bullet Time games.Max Payne, F.E.A.R., The Remake of Wolfenstein, and Painkiller. But everyone recently tells me that its cliched and an overused mechanic. However, although both of them are true to a certain extent. But I think it's still very fun and incredibly well implemented in some games like F.E.A.R. and Max Payne, and not so well implemented in others. In a pinch, it's alright in my opinion. Do you think Bullet Time is still fun, or do you think we should hang up our wannabe Neo powers?

As long as it's implemented tastefully, I don't really mind it. Frankly, I rarely ever see it - the only one that occurs to me are the "breach sequences" in Modern Warfare 2, and I thought those were really cool.

Not nearly so much as Zombies.

But really, I can only recall it featured prominently in:

- Max Payne 1 / 2 (the first to use it)
- Fear 1 / 2
- Jon Woo Stranglehold
- Mass Effect 2 (Adrenaline Rush Ability)
- Fallout 3 (VATS, sort of)
- Timeshift
- Red Dead Redemption (Unreleased)

May seem like a lot but quite few versus total # of titles.

I don't think I've played any game with it, so I honestly don't know.
Try Soldat (it's free and small).

You can't really control it but it's still awesome when it happens.

NNNNNNOOOOOOO *gracefully flying through the air with doves coming from nowhere*
But on a serious note maybe. It would make those games harder I remember almost getting reflex V.A.T.S syndrome when playing Fallout 3.
