So, as some of you may know, I am beginning my quest to delve into the world of comics. I have fully immersed myself in the Ultimate universe of Marvel, and now I'm catching up with DC comics. Since I've already read Green Lantern: Rebirth and I love Geoff Johns and the whole concept of the Green Lantern, I plan on reading Vol. 5 of Green Lantern and Vol. 2 of Green Lantern Corps, including the crossovers and miniseries. I'm also going to read Blackest Night and Brightest Day because they sound awesome.
Now, I've heard that this is more than enough to catch me up with what I need to know for the New Universe (since everything reset to some extent with the exception of the Green Lantern stuff, which, as I said, I'm reading anyway) so I'm asking more for quality than what is necessary of me when I ask the following question: Is Flashpoint worth reading? I'd be happy to read it if it is good and/or it provides a necessary or at least useful look at the current universe, but I don't want to waste my time if it's not worth it.
Thoughts?
