First of all, not really a NASCAR fan here.Blame said:Formula 1 is considered, (by me anyway,) to be the elite of motorsport. Not in excitement, but definatly in skill and technical achievement. I don't think the oval-ringed precession of NASCAR can compare, (except those brief, glorious, explosive, horrific crashes that appear to happen only once every 5 races.)
That said, it's difficult to even compare NASCAR with F1. NASCAR is about, attempting, to keep the cars in a bunch and let the drivers fight it out for the win. F1 is about striving for the best performance man/machine can achieve. It's like comparing a backyard brawl with a kung-fu master demonstrating a classic form. Both are interesting to watch, but for comepletely different reasons.
