Is Forza 3 a RPG?

So the biggest problem with labeling it a RPG is the fact you really don't have an avatar. You don't have a visible guy who runs around and then drives the car. However you do play as a driver going through a career and levels up, gets upgrades and gets better at the game. So my question is: does that constitute a RPG?

It seems to have all the elements but at the same time doesn't.

In theory every game is a RPG because you're playing a role. In this case a race car driver.

But in practice, no, it isn't.

It might share some very vague RPG style elements, but it's certainly not an RPG.

No its not, its a racing game. Just because you go through a career and a sequence of events doesn't make it an rpg, cause then every game would be an rpg.

Not really. I mean the thing is with Forza is that you actually level up and with cars you are able to buy upgrades as you get money which is a big feature of RPGs.
