So, there seems to be a growing epidemic in my area. Most epidemics would be subtle, or at least would only really show up in the news weeks later, but THIS particular strain of stupid has taken a new form: self-advertising.

A few people I know are having a bit of trouble keeping their "issues" to themselves. I constantly hear people saying things that range from impolite to downright raunchy. A few examples:

An older couple, man to woman: Ugh, I think I need to change my pants, dear. I may have shat myself.

Two middle aged women: I really can't understand why my son is so disgusted by Bill's dick! I mean, I'm not!

A group of uppity females middle school age: Dude, I gotta take a shit. Hold on.

I present the question now. Is this a regular occurence that I have just been blind to, and what has been said around you that is so blatantly innappropriate?

No, people have been getting more blatant. It's a little annoying, since the girls I hang out with will just outright tell me sexual stuff. Sometimes I think it's because they think it's funny when I blush, but then I remember everyone else does it, too.

People have become more relaxed about things, but this has led to people talking like that.

I know your pain, my friends constantly go "Hold on a minute I gotta take a massive dump". It's gross.

I don't like everyone being politically correct in how they talk but there comes a point when you just feel awkward.

THAT brings up a good point. Why are people doing this with the uprise of political correctness SIMULTANEOUSLY? It boggles the mind.

Good point. Maybe it's like a silent war, the politically correct seeking a return to a 1950's-esque world and the non-politically correct seeking some sort of Dystopia, probably not on purpose, as with too much freedom comes less responsibility, which explains why there's a lot more lazy people nowadays.

Political correctness is ridiculous. It actualy makes a situation more awkward because nobody wants to say the black guy is black and the woman has breasts. Perhaps it's a sub-conscious attempt to rebel against such a silly idea, but I prefer to think it's just because people are getting more stupid.
