OF COURSE, Billy Mays is a hero.
Michael Jackson is a well known pedifile. He died because he saw a little boy and got too excited, *well that is my philosophy by the way*

RIP Billy Mays
Michael Who?

I don't know. Ones a telemarketer the other is a paedophile.
So the worst thing is that Farrah Fawcett's and Ed Mcmahon's deaths was totally overlooked.
your aware that the "Tele" in telemarketer stands for Telephone not Television right?
he is a commercial spokesmen who yelled loudly at housewives to buy mediocre cleaning products. Billy Mays was not important to society, and I still firmly believe Michael Jackson is guilty of child molestation and therefore neither of these deaths concern me.

to be honest, i heard about Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett's death before Micheal's, but Billy's death just shocked me, so its not over looked by me.

I'd never even heard of Billy Mays before everyone on the Escapist started talking about him. I don't know one way or the other.

Billy Mays dying sucks cuz now i cant be excited when watching his excitable late-night infomercials.

Michael...eh, yes he made a lot of music and became popular but other than that bluh..I hope Elvis beats his ass in heaven.

Farrah again eh it was cancer that shit happens. and Ed i didnt even know about that one so i have nothing to say

Billy Mays was more sad because he was right in the middle of his career. I've only seen him on TV for a year now.

Michael Jackson, however, was way past his prime. His good years were Billy Jean, that era. Once he got the surgery and all the rumors spread, he lost his flare. The latter half of his life is like a joke. A sad joke. IMO, the real Michael died many years ago.

I think it's bad that you care at all.
Why is the death of a famous person more important than the death of everyone else?
Answer: It isn't.

Now, could we please stop with the dead celebrity threads?

I think it could be natural.

I mean, did you grow up knowing (of course, not personally) Michael Jackson?

Ed died a day or two before Jackson, and I think Farrah died the same day, but earlier on than him.

You're aware that the principle is exactly the same and whining about the media is fucking stupid right? It still applies.
Im not whining about the media at all. they are of the same idea but they are not the same job/career, but thats just a definition difference. I don't quite understand the pedestal Billy Mays is held on, he is a hired monkey who is payed too yell about any companies product as long as they pay him enough. Me and you seem to have the same basic opinion on both these peoples death so how am I whining, if your not?

They actaully did something with their life?

But still, enough with the dead celebrity threads.

Billy Mays didn't take 9 medicines at the same time, didn't have heart problems and didn't have dozen of surgeries that helped the heart attack.

Well it's a matter of personal opinion, if anybody tells you that you're wrong or that you're feelings are wrong just ignore those people.
In this situation, totally agree with you 100%

But that doesn't mean opinions CAN'T be wrong. I hear people say "it's my opinion and because it's an opinion that means you can't say it's wrong" and I always think whoever told them that was a damn liar.

It can be someones opinion that the KKK are a morally virtuous group, or that the sun orbits around the earth (these examples are a few I have heard real life people say with a straight face and qualify with the phrase "it's my opinion so you can't say it's wrong"), these opinions ARE wrong.

Sorry, irrelevant to topic I know, I get... ranty.

Nope, honestly I will never look at Oxyclean the same way again. It's a sad thought to think he's gone. Michael Jackson however offered me nothing, I hated his music to be honest.
