You may get kick ass gear, but you fail the class...... plus how do you manage not to get caught when you are probably yelling "OMFG HEAL ME!11!!1" in vent <.>

It's worse when your raid leader over explains everything so much that you're getting lectured in game as well.

Raid?

Or Read..

I'm lost.
I think he means playing WoW, not sure how one would mannage to play any game during a lecture without it being very obvious though.

Well if you mean Raid like in WoW, I seriously have to wonder about your lectures if you get a rig in there with a decent enough connection to game.

But if you want to ignore lectures and potentially fail, I don't see an issue with that.

You could just do what every normal person does, and leave a recording device in there instead of going...

....Okay.....are you asking if it's bad to pull out an axe and start chopping desks in half during class, or am I out of the loop?

Seriously, I think he meant read.

It depends on the lecture. If it's something completley stupid and useless like a social acceptance lecture, then do whatever you want. However, always pay attention when it's something important. Because then you have to ask people what you missed and they get pissed off because you didn't pay attention.

So long as you bring Vikings it is ok.

luckily for me, the university i'm at just records everything anyway... and not that i've ever played wow, but by the sounds of things, raids would be the perfect way to spice up biology... (not that it'd be hard...)

If he actually meant "read", then probably yes.

I've read through most of my high school and my grades didn't drop at all!

Oh wait. Nevermind, that was thanks to my procrastination habits, like the ones I'm showing right now, not reading.
OHHH....He meant READING....it's not right but that didn't stop me.

I preferred the axes, though.....

Listen to the fucking lecture or don't come at all. Certainly don't sit your fat ass down and start playing a game with a lot of lights and movement so that not only are you not paying attention to the lecture, you're hampering the ability of anyone behind you to pay attention either.

well said, although it would be less entertaining for him to sit at home and swing an axe like a viking

Depends on the lecture. Some of my classes were so bad, redundant and uninteresting (yet mandatory) that I spend the 1.5 hours doing crossword puzzles. I suppose raiding is even better if you can get away with it ;)

My general sentiments.
Just make an effort to enjoy lectures, if possible.
