Is it just me or doesn't it seem like PS3 waited to release some of its best games AFTER the price dropped to a more "affordable" range?

Ummm...kind of unnecessary.

OP: You bring up a good point, but it's more along the lines of "developers figured out how to write for the hardware around this time."

ALthough it is a technological sucess it won't match the 360 or PC as it is too hard to program games compared to other consoles and it cant get the hype of console-specific titles as Microsoft own ALL.

umm, not really. A lot of great games were released before the price drop. Hell, that was the reason everyone wanted the price drop in the first place.

That's the best way to say it. I have one because I wanted the games already released and it's cheaper.
