It's post apocalyptic and that's about it. It's also going to suck since a movie like that, if it was good, would be coming out in the summer, not in January.

A post-apocalyptic setting and a guy with a big knife does not Fallout 3 make.

In other news, I think it's going to be absolutely awesome.

Borderlands is also very similar to Fallout 3. You get different proficiencies with different weapons, it's an MMOFPS, your in a deserted wasteland...etc...there are Bandits and Raiders...lol

kinda... but i think from the trailer... the whole 'post apocolyptic wasteland' setting isnt particularly necessary plot-wise... it could be set in modern times or a fictional universe and i doubt it would make any difference to the film... but then again, im saying this from the trailer.. it could be revealed that the setting has some signifigance to the story in the full film.

Bad theories are bad...0o

Anyways, I think it also has a lot to do with the cinematography.

It has the exactly same look and feel as FO3....I wouldn't be surprised if the director didn't ask the Cinematographer to play FO3 and copy that look and atmosphere.

It isn't a "theory", it's how the movie industry works. There are two seasons in movies, the summer where lots of people are going to the movies where they release most of the blockbusters and "awards season" starting the week of thanksgiving and going through to the end of December where they release the movies they hope to win oscars with, along with a couple major blockbusters on the holidays. The rest of the year is pretty much a dead zone.

Yeah I know that, but you make it sound nothing good ever comes out around this time.
