Is it just me or do most juices taste waaay different than they used to? I mean Capri sun used to taste like an actual fruit drink. Now it tastes more like sugar water. Sunny D used to taste like orange juice and Now it's bitter to no end, worst of all it's hardly sweet anymore.

I don't actually remember the last time I had juice, bar Tropicana every now and again.
I've just been surviving off tea, milk and soft drinks.
So it might well be just you. It might not be. Guess we'll never know now that I can't give an all important verdict.

things like that change all the time but I know what you mean seemed better when I was a kid but I don't really drink any of that any more

I know man! I remember when you had to squeeze oranges by hand to get a drink! Now it's all this processed stuff. I liked it when fruit juice was underground, but then it sold out.
Em maybe you just developed actual taste buds compared to when you were a kid and thought chips and ketchup was the best thing ever and could(try) survive on that.
Slightly unrelated because its not actually juice but I swear Vernor's Ginger Ale is not as strong as it used to be.

I think they took the poison out of Sunny D. Now it tastes worse, but it marginally healthier.

maybe its because your tongue has started losing taste buds. i think you taste more as a kid. i do get that though...
I always remembered Sunny D feeling really thick...ya know? I haven't had any in years though so I really couldn't say. As for other juices, I've moved on from Juicy Juice to Dole and what not. Dole tastes really good to me, especially their fruit cocktails/ mixed fruit juices.
You know what else? Having always been denied the chance by my cruel tyrant mother when I was younger, I finally went out and got a whole pack of jelly cubes and ate them straight from the packet a few months ago, and they were horrible! There's a good reason you dilute them!
I don't really see a difference. On an unrelated topic, I've notice people have "ranks" here on the escapist. FOr example, I am a copy clerk. Does anyone here know how to go up ranks? Thank you. Yet again, I haven't really noticed a change in juice.
Honestly, they've probably changed all the ingredients so it doesn't have 50 grams of sugar so kids don't get fat.
McDonalds chips used to have TONS of salt on them, so much I'd have to scrape some off, now there's hardly any.
Not complaining or anything. I prefer pure orange juice too.
