I feel this way, too. Both times I played Half-Life 2, I played them around this time of the year, and both times were tumultuous times of my life. By the time I got to Portal when I got The Orange Box the second year like this, it was even more tumultuous. It was very surreal to play Portal with its pitch-black humor with the way I felt at the time.

It's spring down here. Personally around spring I play video games less. I play them the most around Summer or Winter, when its to hot or cold to do things during the day.
