Is it just me or has the Escapist been really messed up recently like sometimes taking ages to load, HTML Errors, posts not appearing till you post again then you see you double posted?

Just want to make sure it aint just me xD

Yeah, I get that too.
It's possible a problem with connection or maybe there's some kind of issue with the site itself or maybe they are updating something. I'm not sure but while it can be annoying it hasn't become too serious yet.

Its a frequent error that comes and goes just like with any site, just use F5 or come back later, [user]Virgil[/user] and [user]Kross[/user] can only do so much at a time.

It happens to me all the time. In fact every night around Midnight..in my User Group it always seems to do this but it only lasts for a few minutes then goes away.

This has nothing to do with the PubClub, its happened many times before that was established, the main causes are slow/bad connections, servers timing out and various other uncontrollable things that can appear randomly.

It is just you, and people like you that have these problems.

I guess your parents don't pay extra money to have a better internet connection.

If you live on your own, I guess you don't pay enough for a better internet connection.

Either way, you can pay more money to have a better internet connection. I have never had a problem with this website. (Cept the banhammer!) If you really think you are having a problem, you should look inward at your own setup before blaming a website for your bad connection.

Seeing a double post, and having to wait for things to load are your problem, not the websites'. That is, unless you don't know what the refresh button is, and can't wait for more than a minute or two to see a refreshed website page.

ok for your info... im 26 and not living at home, I also have a 20mbit connection, and every other site is fine. my pc is well maintained and my setup is fine.

I suspect it has something to do with the amount of web traffic this site receives. An overload of web traffic could potentially cause some of the errors that you're describing. After all the web server can only address so many visitors at a time.

I get the problems in the user groups, posting, then it not showing, and posting again and it showing a duplicate post
