Is it me, or are there far too many threads with that exact title?

Also, you're generally going to be thought of as wrong in thinking that, for reasons already posted here. In fact I don't have much purpose here since I have nothing new to say. I'll just be going now...

Er... no. You are in fact wrong in a very many ways. Remember the Rugrats: Search for Reptar? Because I do, and by God was that an awful game. How about the first Pirates of the Caribbean game, that stunk to high bloody heaven.

Also, of course, ET, Superman 64, the early Ultima games, Wing Commander II, pretty much any game which was bundled along with a movie on 6 CDs was guarenteed to be shit, A lot of people deride FFVIII, (I don't, but you see the point I think) Final Fantasy X.

Also, again only according to popular press but the game which is apparently going to 'kill' the FPS genre, Halo, was released before 2005, and a game that is going to 'kill' a genre cannot be good.

Also also, I thought Path of Neo and Enter the Matrix were steaming piles of dog turd not fit to be wiped off the underside of my shoe.

So there's a whole bunch of awful games from pre-2005

Now:

Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout 3, Starcraft 2, Batman, Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Uncharted (if you like that sort of thing), Gears of War (same), Several Tomb Raider games, Saints Row 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Metal Gear Solid 4, most of Guitar Hero and all of Rock Band.

And the absolute crowning example which hardly need be even said:

PORTAL you daft nonce.

So there's a bunch of great games that came out post 2005. Take your nostalgia goggles off and come join us in the glorious seventh console generation.

I ALREADY FUCKING SAID ANYTHING MADE BY VALVE. And I meant that the games ideas were original.
And what the hell???? You think Tomb Raider games were good AFTER 2005? They are all remakes!(pre-2005 and after)

Guitar Hero 3 was released and harmonix had left activision, and besides guitar hero 1 was already released before 2005.

P.S. MGS will never just stop talking. I played and I didn't like it(1,2,3 and 4).
