Is it possible...(Xbox Live Question)

to be able to download M rated content with an age 16 Xbox Live account? Like I know you can change your console settings to deal with ratings but nothing seems to be working. Also I have used my Mom's email to set it up so I'm "playing with my parents permission". But every time I try and download M content it tells me "This account is not permitted to download with this rating". It's really annoying since I wanna download the add-on to Mass Effect but I can't. If not it doesn't make sense to me. If my parents already gave me permission to play an M rated game why can't I download content for it. Maybe I'm missing something but if not I guess that's what I get for not falsifying my age.

I'd just make a new account if I were you, and set it to.. well, just don't set it to family or whatever. Each account you make gets a gold trial of a month (or at least, the first 5 accounts or something), so you might be able to download it through that, and then use it through your other account, since downloaded items are interchangeable.

That'd work except I have to buy it and the credits are on my account. Also it would only work for a month. Any other pertinent solutions I'm missing?

That's weird. I also have a age 16 live account, and I've noticed that with trying to download M rated demos (really annoying since I wanted to play both the CoD5 and Left 4 Dead demos). But I was able to download both Halo Map packs, and the CoD4 map pack without problems, and since it's all in game content, I'd think that it would be the same sort of thing with the Mass Effect expansion. Guess not. Have you noticed the same sort of thing when downloading map packs (if you've downloaded any)?

That's a good point you brought up. Now that I think about it I downloaded the Halo maps too. I wonder how that works.
