R Is it safe to update yet?
What grievances have you encountered? Have any of them been game braking for you?

Well I have, up until this very hour, avoided all but the first of the Skyrim updates.
This being after the first royally cocked up the LAA and my saves along with it. But also because of the humongous rage I've seen about the other patches.
I have grim news how ever. When I started steam today I browsed the store briefly before noticing something was downloading... yes, it appears that the "do not auto update" option was no longer selected and the update was underway. After a bit of research it appears it can not be stopped! What. The. Fuck. Steam why would you even do that?!
I know I have no choice but to update now, but is it safe to play the game? I don't want to start playing only to find my saves will be messed with (I hear of items, books etc, disappearing).
