why is the act of sex imoral? am I somehow more "moral" because ive never had sex? if I do have sex will I lose some kind of "purity" that Ill never get back?

I dont drink much or do drugs...mainly because I dotn care for that kind of crap and never had the chance anyway

Personally, I believe that it's immoral because it goes against Christianity. I understand why it is, though... when I marry someone, I would MUCH prefer them to have never had sex before. Can you honestly say that you're not the same?

anyway if to you sex is suposed to be special...then thats great (and many non virgins also hold that veiw), but just because somone has sex out of wedlock, doesnt mean it still cant be special, and I think the "no sex before marrage" is kind of outdated..and very limiting

The fact that someone has had sex before does not mean that they aren't interested in long term relationships. You - and OP - are subtly suggesting that someone who isn't a virgin couldn't possibly want or be capable of anything other than meaningless sex. Virginity is not a sign of purity and good moral fibre. It just means you haven't popped your cherry yet.

If you personally want to wait for a virgin like you, that's fine. I don't think I've seen many people in this thread suggest otherwise. What is not okay is to look down on anyone who didn't make the same choices as you did. It is not okay to reduce someone to the state of their broken hymen and ignore all the things that make them a good person and a loving partner.

I agree it's not okay to be judgmental about others choices in life, but again, I really don't think either OP or myself are blasting non-virgins for not abstaining or some religious BS like that. It's just personal preference.

I'm much more lenient when it comes to finding a girl I like. While I'd prefer someone who doesn't drink, smoke, etc... or is a virgin I can be reasonably understandable. Drugs like Marijuana, tobacco, and alcohol I'm alright with if it's for recreational use and they don't pressure me to do it. Them not being a virgin, as long sex is not all they're looking for in a relationship, is alright too.

I've drank underage (I live in Scotland, and have Irish roots, that was bound to happen the moment I was born.)
I've smoked (and can't understand how anyone gets addicted. Sure the headspin is cool and stuff but I'm told that fades when you smoke regularly.
